New technology, a promise or a threat? As mankind gain knowledge over the years, technology advances without our knowledge. Sure, newer technology makes our lives easier with developments such as the telephone and the internet. It allows humans to commuicate easily without much hassles. However, not all developments are made for the good mankind, with the invention of nuclear weapons, i think that despite the side effects of technology, it depends if it can be controlled and how we use reuse them. As for promises, i think that technology has done man a lot of help. It has made man more convenient as technology mostly has to do with devices that has done us great assistance. Such as handphones, laptops. And etc. For an instance, computers can be used to accomplishan extremely variety of tasks -- from creating softwares programs to composing music and editing movies -- they are mostly often used by students for the basic tasks of creating and creating text (word processing), solving maths problems and communicating with others. as for handphones, it helps us to communicate our loved ones easily without the need of a mp3, sending a text messageFor threats, technology can make us a big headche too. For an instance, as Microsoft is improving, same goes to virus to. Once u got the virus in your laptop, it is very hard to eliminate it.As for handphones, dont put it anywhere near your vital organs due to EMS radiation which will cause cancer. As for automobiles, more cars have been created, so as there will be more cars on the road travelling, the rate of the smoke will increase rapidly, then the carbon monoxide will deplete the ozone layer, causing global warming and greenhouse effects. Therefore we must moderate in order to prevent technology turning into threat. So i can conclude that, as long as we balance the advancement of New technology, it will definitely not convert into a threat.
